Blind Taste Testing

Aim:

I want to find out how we taste food.

Research:

Method:

Equipment

• Unknown food
• Blindfold
• Person with a tongue

Instructions

1. Get your equipment
2. Put your blindfold on
3. Hold your nose shut
4. Put the food in your mouth and taste it
5. Describe how it taste
6. Release your nose and describe the taste

Results:

1. It felt crunchy 

1. And sweet

2. It was crunchy and didn't taste like anything

2. Then it hit be with a lot of bitter

It at first didn't taste like anything and was just wet

After it only had a little taste, a weird bitter and sweet taste.

At first i was like a little taste of watermelon and a marshmallow feel

After it was more sour and even more watermelon then before

It tasted like nothing and had a girty taste

after it was sour and sweet a tasting like lemon

It tasted like sugar both when i took my hand of and when it was on

It at first tasted like the sea, slaty but also something else??

Then after it was hella slaty

Hands on Fire

 Aim:

I want to SAFELY light my hands on fire. 

Method:

Equipment

• Detergent
• Lighter
• Safety Glasses/Goggles
• Gas
• Tray
• Hose

Instructions

1. Collect your equipment
2. Put some water into the tray.
3. Squirt some detergent in the water
4. Put on your safety glasses/goggles.
5. Tie up any long hair.
6. Take off any jewellery.
7. Wet your hands, wrists and arms.
8. Bubble the gas into the water.
9. Scoop the bubbles but not the water.
10. Hold the bubbles in fount if your face with your arms locked.
11. Light the bubbles on fire with the lighter.
12. To get rid of the fire, go into the Ironman pose.

Results

I could see a massive orange flame and on some occasions the flame would hit the roof.

I felt heat from the flames

I could hear the whole class screaming when the flame went up.

All I could hear was my teacher's hair burning.
