End of life act

 .End of life act.

I somewhat support the end of life act, I do think what they are doing is good but at the same time not as good as it could be.

I do support the end of life act with ending a life to relieve the pain and suffering part. I think that if someone is suffering and they know they are likely going to die I feel that they should get the chance to die to relieve the pain.

Thing is I don’t think the end of life act is that good, because they would be in pain and may not be in the right mind to choose to die.

So in conclusion, yes I do think that it is a good thing but could b better, idk bye.

Burgers In Cooking

 .Burgers In Cooking.

This week in cooking class we made burgers, if you would like you can make something like the burgers we made then here is the things you need to know how to make the burgers:

So like I said in cooking class we made burgers. The first day of making burgers we had made the burger patties. I had to make 2 even though I only had me myself and I. The next day was cooking the patties and assembling the burger.

In all honesty it was very fun, it did get very hot for me on the second day, but oh well just let me burn. The burger tasted very nice and if I had to rate the taste it would be a 8.5/10. I just like burgers.

  • Aotearoa History Show Episode 6 -

  • Summary
This week our Aotearoa History Show was about the New Zealand wars, the show was talking about the war and how the wars ended. In this episode it was also explaining the outcome of this war ( The destruction of Anupa in the desecration of taboo, it's not just economic damage, it's spiritual and cultural damage. ) These wars still impact us today. Around 3,000 people died and ⅔ of them were mario. The wars had been going on for around 20 years.

  • Some of my notes
( My best notes ) Here are some of my notes that I wrote when I  was watching the video:
  1. The end of the wars in Waikato coincided with the rise of Maori prophet, a man who had been an early convert to christainity back in the 1830s but has experience fighting Paki hence had bad intentions over land made him question the teachings of the European missionaries in 1862.
  2. The man had seen visions of an angel who told them that Maori were God's new chosen people; he preached that God would deliver the land taken by parkia back into Maori hands, The new rela was called Pai Maere.
  3. Confiscated land basically theses British soldiers who were told  that so long as they could keep Maori off the land it would be theirs to keep.
  • Other Aotearoa History show work -
Aotearoa history show - Te Tiriti o - Episode 4
What was the Māori population in the late 1830’s?
The Māori population was 100,000 and dropped in the late 1830 to 70,000 - 80,000 Māori.

What were the two main reasons for the drop in population?
The two main reasons for the drop in the Māori population was because of war and disease.

What was the name of the main settlement in Aotearoa New Zealand at this time?
The main settlement in Aotearoa was Kororareka Russell.

Why were the rangatira and missionaries unhappy with what was happening in the town?
The rangatira and missionaries were unhappy because the Māori were doing things that they didn’t want the Māori to be doing.

How was Te Tiriti o Waitangi neglected? Name as many reasons as you can.

What was set up in 1833 to help resolve the situation?
In 1833 they helped to resolve the situation by making a trite.

The British saw France as a threat, why was that?
The british saw France as a threat because they know that France would kill all the Māori because France was known to go into places and kill all the people that lived there if they were not from France.

Who set up the New Zealand Company? What were their plans for New Zealand?

Why did the British send Hobson to New Zealand to set up the Treaty of Waitangi?
They send him Hobson to New zealand to set up the treaty of waitangi because they could translate in to Māori.

Nutrition Information

Nutrition Information

A lot of food is worse then you though it is. On the back or around the food pack it was have some info about the food. Say for example Anchor protein+ yogurt has a Nutrition information list and on it, it has a list of the food and stuff used in the yogurt, At the top is the thing that is used the most in the list. In the yogurt on the top is Energy and on the bottom is where the lest amount of food used. Also on the food packaging is health star rating and also where it is made. With the Anchor protein yogurt sugar is the 3 less used thing, there is 12.2 grams of sugar. If sugar is in the 1st 2nd or 3 most used it's not good to eat

hurumanu 6 sugar

This week in health me and some others class mates had to fill bags with sugar. We did this so we can see how much sugar is in different types of drinks. We had to write down how much we though was in the drinks and then later came down to the mat to see if our though were right. Here is what we though and how much there was in the different type of drinks.

In the fizzy drinks there is about 20 tsp of sugar I thought there was 18 tsp of sugar
In the sport drinks there is 14 tsp of sugar, I thought there was 12 tsp of sugar
In fruit juice there is 8 tsp of sugar, I though there was 6 tsp of sugar
In the energy drink there is 14 tsp of sugar and I got it right.
In flavored milk there is 6 tsp of sugar I thought that there was 4 tsp of sugar
And in flavored water there is also 6 tsp of sugar and I though there was 7 tsp of sugar

When I heard the how much sugar was in the drinks I was a little shocked, I knew that some was had lots of sugar but when I see the sugar in bags I was really shocked.

What I did

What I did

Reading
This week I have been reading a book called Infernal Devices by Philip Reeve. For reading I 122.56have made my own version of the book cover. I chose to draw my own cover version of this book  because I really enjoy doing art and liked the theme of the story.

Writing
For writing we had to start a plan of a story. I chose the theme of horror. I didn’t know how to make a horror-like story, so I watched one of the videos. To try to make my horror story, I decided to use the video called ‘Sounds from a Haunted House’ as inspiration for my haunted house story. The video was just sounds, so I tried to make it a little bit more intersting than just that: So I used some of the sounds as characters.

Mathing
For math we had to make a weekly menu for a family of four ( two adults and two children ) and listed menu items.
I did the weekly menu and recipes, amounts of food items used, converting measurements, creating a shopping list and working out costings for both the shopping items bought and how much I used for the menu. For the recipes I used the Edmonds cook book. I also used this book for working out measurement conversions eg cups of flour and rice into grams. Tablespoons into ml.
 I had a budget of $200 and I used $122.56.
It was really hard work, but I enjoyed it. I even helped my mum make Lasagna one night.

TV  School Programs

I have been watching some of the learning programs on TV. I watched all of the Aotearoa History program which was really interesting.
